Groundhog Day – The Revolving Dictatorship

groundhog day

The 2022 Local Elections have come and almost gone. At the time of writing, about a half of the voting results have been declared, with the predicted Labour gains coming at the expense of the tired, scandal-wracked Tories.

Voters have once again decided that one party wasn’t delivering so they’d give the other main party another chance. Whilst listening to this annual yawn-fest this morning, I was reminded of the words of David Icke, quoted in a post on this website a while ago.

“So you vote for party A. They get into power and you don’t like what they’re doing. The only way to get them out is to vote for party B. You vote for party B, they get in and you don’t like what they’re doing, why, ’cause basically it’s the same thing because it’s the permanent government that’s dictating it not them.”

“So how do you get rid of party B? Err, you go back to party A. And it’s this A-B, B-A that we call democracy.”

Whilst I am not a supporter of Icke’s, I couldn’t have put it better myself.
