On the eve of the ancient festival of Samhain, a time that marked the end of harvesting and the beginning of winter, BM activists were out on the streets of one of Britain’s biggest cities distributing food and drink to our less fortunate brothers and sisters. The following short report was received from Manchester BM.
With the dark nights drawing in and temperatures dropping, our North West comrades returned to the mean streets of Manchester to support those most in need.
Armed with essentials including blankets, quilts, socks, water, Hugo Boss underwear, and medical supplies, they reached out to our homeless folk – offering comfort, care, and conversation.
Many of the people encountered were hungry, so sandwiches and coffee were also purchased and distributed. It was heartbreaking to see how many were sleeping rough, and all the supplies were handed out within just ten minutes – a stark reminder of the ongoing need for compassion and action.
