Visit Rwanda – No Thanks!

With the increase in the number of illegal immigrants coming across the Channel because of the calmer seas, the Tory Government’s plan to ship them to Rwanda for processing seems to have hit the rocks.

Most of these young, male ‘refugees’ want to come to Britain because of our generous social welfare system. Proof of this is in the fact that they have travelled through numerous safe European countries in their quest to reach England.

Predictably, an unholy alliance of left-wing media, lawyers and woke activists are planning to try and sink the plan before it even gets off the ground. Not that we think the Tories really ever really thought that it would stop illegal immigration from France.

We have always believed it was simply a trick to try and win-over a few working-class voters by appearing to be solving the immigration crisis. After all, the Tories have form when it comes to shouting about immigration, hoovering up the votes, and then doing nothing afterwards.

Why Johnson and Patel have chosen Rwanda, a god-forsaken country in the middle of Africa, is a mystery. Perhaps it’s because it is a dirt-poor country that will do anything for a bit of foreign currency. Rwanda is best known for tribal genocide, gorillas and sponsoring Arsenal football club. Officially called the Republic of Rwanda, it is a landlocked country in the Great Rift Valley of Central Africa.

For those with a longer memory, the movie Gorillas In The Mist was set in Rwanda and released in 1988. Starring Sigourney Weaver as the naturalist Dian Fossey, it told the story of the fight to save the vanishing mountain gorillas. Now it’s more a case of Gorillas Refugees In The Mist, thanks to Johnson and Patel. Poor gorillas.

Fossey’s mutilated body was found in her cabin at the Karisoke research centre in Rwanda, the isolated park where she had monitored the gorilla population for 18 years. A gentle creature trying to save other gentle creatures, murdered by monsters.

Get Out Of My Country!

Another country in Europe with a plan to solve the problem of illegals is Denmark. The country’s prime minister has criticised non-Western migrants and their role in crime and harassment of Danish women. The country’s left-wing government has been condemned in Europe over its (supposedly) tough immigration stance.

Criminals deported from Denmark will soon have to serve their prison sentences in Kosovo, instead of in the liberal prison environment of Denmark, after the Danes announced an agreement with the Balkan state to rent 300 spots in the country’s prisons.

Nick Hækkerup, the Danish Minister of Justice, who signed the treaty, called the agreement ‘ground breaking’. The agreement concerns citizens of non-EU countries who often commit crime at far higher rates than the indigenous Danes.

“I think it is excellent that we can get them thrown out as quickly as possible,” said Hækkerup commenting on the news. “The expectation is that we would start during the first quarter of 2023,” he added. Deported criminals cannot return to Denmark after finishing their sentence, but must return to their home country.

“Every fifth young man with a non-Western background born in 1997 has broken the law before turning 21. It’s not everyone. But there are too many young men who take the freedom of others, steal children’s futures, intimidate prison guards – and leave behind a long trail of insecurity,” said the Danish prime minister in a speech in 2020.

“It has been going on for too many years. Girls who are called derogatory names because they are Danish. Or girls who are subjected to social control because they have become too Danish. A sausage cart in Brønshøj that is attacked with firecrackers because it sells pork,” she said.

Britain has also struggled to deport illegal immigrants, even those who have committed the most serious criminal offenses, including rape and murder. Only last week, a deportation flight to Jamaica removed only 7 of the 112 foreign criminals who were supposed to be on board. The majority had last-minute appeals against deportation approved.

We must all work and struggle for a Government that would move aggressively to protect its people from migrants with criminal convictions.
