Welcome to the latest post in our new “At Least We’re Not Speaking German” series. In a recent, widely watched interview, Tory reactionary Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg clashed with American commentator Tucker Carlson over his views on World War II and Adolf Hitler. Rees-Mogg is a former employee of J Rothschild Investment Management.
Rees-Mogg defended the UK’s wartime actions, stating that otherwise, “We’d be speaking German.” Carlson responded with, “Who cares? There are a lot of people in Britain who can’t speak English.” Rees-Mogg recently released a video in which he stated: “The English are a mongrel people, not an Aryan master race.”
Change The People And You Change The Nation
France has been hit by widespread and violent protests, with estimates suggesting that more than 550,000 people took to the streets. Demonstrations linked to the rising cost of living and student grievances have escalated into clashes between protesters and police. Among those involved, Marxist groups, anarchist factions and second and third generation ‘Frenchmen’ have been accused of looting shops, setting fires and damaging public property, including the historic town hall in Limoges.
The unrest has spread to several major cities. Government buildings in Marseille and Lille were reportedly broken into, while a tourism office in Lyon was set alight. Shops belonging to major brands, including Louis Vuitton and Apple, were also targeted by looters. In Paris, around 100 masked individuals described as far-left militants allegedly attacked the shared headquarters of conservative media outlets CNews, Europe 1 and Le Journal du Dimanche, smashing windows and blocking the entrance.
Authorities reportedly arrested around 1,200 people nationwide, while at least 150 police officers were injured. Several demonstrators also suffered serious injuries from crowd-control weapons. In Saint-Étienne, for example, a student reportedly lost a hand after a stun grenade exploded. At the time this account was being prepared, media reports also indicated that a 22-year-old man involved in the unrest had died after falling from the Arc de Triomphe.
The unrest in France goes beyond student complaints or concerns about deteriorating school facilities. What is unfolding reflects a deeper political and social tension that has contributed to increasing disorder in parts of the country. Many neighbourhoods in major French cities have become increasingly difficult to govern due to changing demographics, and raises serious questions about the ability of the state to maintain order in a multi-racial, multi-cultural melting pot.
A comment on social media posted by The Traditional Britain Group summed up the situation perfectly:
“The French state is broke and paralyzed because it has spent decades funding its own demographic replacement. This unrest is a warning sign for the entire Western world. Once you surrender your borders and sacrifice your national identity to accommodate diasporas with totally different cultural backgrounds, you do not get a richer society; you get a war zone. France has completely failed its own people.”
