28.08.2024. Following the recent knife attack in Solingen, carried out by a Syrian national, Manuel Ostermann, the chairman of the German police union (DPoIG), criticised the current situation. He characterised the issues surrounding immigration as fundamentally linked to crime and asserted that Islam poses the most significant security threat to the nation.

The Ultimate In Two-Tier Policing

25.08.2024. A former Scotland Yard inspector has branded this weekends Notting Hill Carnival as “the ultimate in two-tier policing”. Mike Neville, a retired Scotland Yard detective chief inspector, claimed that police at the annual West Indian carnival “are told only to arrest in the most extreme circumstances” because of community sensitivities. In 2023 there were 275 arrests over the course of the carnival, with eight people stabbed and around 80 officers assaulted.

Innocent Until Proven Guilty?

23.08.2024. Yvette Cooper’s Home Office has labelled all of those arrested (but not yet convicted) during and after the recent protests, as ‘criminals’. In this country, people are presumed innocent until convicted. Any potential jury pool is already prejudiced by the political statements made by our political leaders and the media.

22.08.2024. TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson has banned #TwoTierKeir from his new Cotswolds pub, The Farmer’s Dog. The pub in Asthall, near Burford in Oxfordshire, has posted the ban on a notice board in the entrance. Somehow we cannot imagine Starmer drinking in any pub, except for a photo opportunity. Pubs are only for the proles.
