Autumn marks the time of harvest, when the landscape shifts from vibrant greens to hues of red, orange, and gold, heralding the passage from Summer to Winter as temperatures gradually fall. The trees and hedgerows are heavy with fruit, nuts and berries, with both people and animals gathering supplies for the cold, dormant months. Signs of decay set the stage for the next cycle of life. In essence, it is a story of renewal.
An activist from BM Northwest headed into the woodland to install some bird and bat boxes, alongside some bug hotels, which will help support native wildlife as winter approaches and many animals prepare for hibernation.
These small acts make a big difference to the woodland, and the native wildlife helps to preserve the native habitats of our nation.
