November 27th 2025 – Stockport College.
There was a brief but instant outbreak of violence in the corridors of Stockport College, initially between two young men, but quickly becoming a series of fights between a group of young males.
For some reason all the video footage of the so-called ‘disturbance’ at Stockport College has been pixilated to obscure the features of those fighting, those being arrested or injured, and there are numerous references to this online with plenty of speculation that it has been done to obscure the ‘ethnic origins’ as well as individual identities of those involved in this ‘disturbance’.
Below is what the local mainstream media had to offer as a report on what happened at Stockport College.
“Stockport College issues new statement after students put in lockdown with nine arrested in huge brawl”
“Nine teenagers have been arrested over a shocking brawl at a college which forced students to go into ‘lockdown’ for an hour, it has emerged tonight.
“The Manchester Evening News earlier reported how mobile phone footage captured violence erupting among students at Stockport College today. The footage captured one student screaming repeatedly, ‘oh my god’ as boys aimed kicks and punches at each other, first inside the college and then on a concourse outside.
“Security guards in hi-vis jackets and other staff can be seen struggling to stop the fight, said to have started when two students clashed. The footage showed one member of staff tending to one youth who had been knocked to the ground while the fighting continued around him. Other students hurdled security barriers to join the melee.
“A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police confirmed officers were called to a fight between a group of people at the college on Stockport Road South just before noon. The Manchester Evening News received reports that a person was stabbed but college officials and GMP said no weapons were involved. Tonight, as nine teenagers who were arrested remain in police custody, college bosses confirmed they implemented a ‘lockdown procedure’ to ensure the safety of staff and students.
“After the M.E.N. asked for clarification, a spokeswoman for Stockport College said in a new statement: “All safety and escalation procedures were followed in response to today’s incident. Our lockdown procedure was implemented swiftly to ensure the situation was managed effectively and the safety and welfare of every learner was maintained. The well-being of our students remains our highest priority.
College returned to normal studies within the hour.”
“The situation was managed swiftly and effectively, and all of our processes were followed to ensure the safety and well-being of every learner. Their welfare remains our number one priority. Timetabled classes are continuing as normal, and the campus is fully operational.”
A statement from GMP said: “At around 11.50 am today (27 November), officers were called to a group of males fighting at a college on Wellington Road South, Stockport. “Officers immediately attended the incident, and nine people, aged between 16 and 18, were arrested on suspicion of affray. No weapons were involved in the incident, and thankfully, no serious injuries have been reported.”
The deliberate attempt to play down the situation is obvious, both from the statement by Stockport College and from the Greater Manchester Police statement. The question is why?
Later the Manchester Evening News felt compelled to issue this follow-up report:
“Greater Manchester News. Stockport”
“Everything you need to know about the brawl at Stockport College
The brawl took place on Thursday and the college was placed on lockdown.”
Again the question ‘Why?’ remains, and the surprising media silence since. Given that initially the ‘brawl’ at Stockport College appeared in some national news outlets, including the ‘Daily Record’ in Scotland.
Was it in the interests of ‘community relations’ and to protect ‘community cohesion’? Whatever, it remains suspiciously like controlled news.
