Yesterday morning, comrades from Leeds BM, along with a number of other racial Nationalists and patriotic football supporters, attended the annual Remembrance Ceremony in Leeds to pay respects to those who served and sacrificed.
As always, it was a moving occasion and a moment for quiet reflection. The hand of political correctness was present as usual, with the Bishop of Kirkstall, a Rabbi and an Imam leading the multi-faith ceremony after the two-minute silence and a rendition of The Last Post. Many ex-servicemen left before the speeches began, with some of those asking what this had to do with the true spirit of remembrance.
British Movement was the only ethno-Nationalist group to attend, and once again, a poppy wreath was laid on the Cenotaph by Ian, a British Movement activist, on behalf of all Leeds Nationalists. Afterwards, we visited a couple of friendly hostelries to catch up with comrades old and new.
A sign of the changing times we live in was obvious from the streets leading up to the Cenotaph. The police had blocked them off to traffic, not with high-tech bollards or anti-ramming barriers, but with what we used to call ‘dustbin wagons’. What a sad state of affairs.
