BM North West Under Attack

The Oppressive Tactics of Starmer’s Stasi
The Oppressive Tactics of Starmer’s Stasi

Note: As these are ongoing cases and all those arrested are subject to draconian bail conditions, this report is based in part on statements by family members. The bailed individuals are forbidden to have involvement with British Movement activities and forbidden to meet any of the BM North-West activists and supporters who were arrested.

In a classic over reaction motivated by political directives, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) raided the homes of nine people identified as having attended the celebration of Adolf Hitler’s birthday at a pub in Oldham.

On Wednesday May 7th 2025, large teams of police smashed down doors at 5 am in the morning, ransacked the properties and made arrests. Families were traumatised, and those arrested were held in cells for up to 12 hours before being questioned and threatened with imprisonment. They were then bailed under highly restrictive conditions.

Widely reported in mainstream media outlets across the North West: Manchester Evening News, Liverpool Echo, Lancashire Live, the Daily Star and Mail On-Line.

The mainstream media headlines tell it all;
“Nine arrested in dawn police raids after neo-Nazis ‘hold birthday party for Adolf Hitler with swastika flags and birthday cake in pub’

Or more excitedly:
“Police investigating neo-Nazis who were caught celebrating Adolf Hitler’s birthday in an Oldham pub carried out a series of dramatic dawn raids across the north west today, arresting nine suspects and uncovering an arsenal of replica guns as well as a Nazi-era gas canister, the Manchester Evening News can reveal.”

A clear political motive behind the police raids across Greater Manchester and the over excited headlines illustrate that;
“A spokesman for GMP confirmed that nine people, aged from their 20s to their 60s, were arrested on suspicion of a section 18 public order offence, which prohibits ‘threatening, abusive or insulting’ displays of written material intended to stir up racial hatred.

“Officers then raided properties in Rochdale, Bolton, Trafford, Stockport and Southport and found imitation firearms, swords and a crossbow as well as Nazi memorabilia and materials. On Wednesday night police were continuing to search the properties and officers have been working with Counter Terrorism Policing North West, which offered advice on the seized items. The raid came after the get-together at the pub last month.”

The search warrants authorised the police to seize “any British Movement related items and materials” which demonstrates quite clearly that the motivation went well beyond anything connected to the gathering at the pub in Oldham.

The media reports were almost giddy in their reporting of the details, no doubt salivating at the idea of the hated ‘neo-Nazis’ being investigated by counter terrorism police even though there was no suggestion of terrorism. This was allegedly a Public Order offence.

“Just after 5am on Wednesday officers from GMP executed search warrants in Oldham, Rochdale, Bolton, Urmston and as far away as Southport, Merseyside, following a Manchester Evening News investigation.

“A team of officers, along with forensic investigators and the bomb squad descended on a property in Bolton. Among the finds are what appears to be an imitation AK47 rifle, a suspected grenade, a crossbow, a series of fake handguns, well as a number of swords, one decorated with a Swastika. Officers also found a ‘’Zyklon’ gas canister, we can reveal.

“GMP stressed the gas canister was not viable and that the suspected grenade had been ‘declared safe’ by Army bomb disposal officers. The force said so far all the guns analysed were imitation or replica, but a spokeswoman said they could not rule out that others may be found to be in working order. Tests are continuing.”

The Mail On-line was so overexcited that its reporter could not get the date right, claiming that the pub gathering was held on April 26th when in reality it was on April 19th!

“Nine people have been arrested after a group celebrated Adolf Hitler’s birthday with swastika flags and a cake in a north-west pub. Police raided a string of properties after the west branch of racist fringe group British Movement assembled at the Duke of Edinburgh in Royston, Greater Manchester on April 26.”

In their excitement to describe all the seized property, the journalists fail to mention that the swords, replica guns, grenades and even the phoney Zyklon B canister were all legally owned and part of a militaria collection. Certainly none of those items were displayed or featured in the pub gathering that led to this over-the-top police operation.

The GM Police press statement reveals the underlying political motivation of this Stasi style operation:
“A spokesman for GMP confirmed that nine people, aged from their 20s to their 60s, were arrested on suspicion of a section 18 public order offence, which prohibits ‘threatening, abusive or insulting’ displays of written material intended to stir up racial hatred.”

But descriptions of the pub gathering made no reference at all to displays of written material. And more telling: Assistant Chief Constable Steph Parker said: ‘It’s important that all avenues are explored to establish the extent of the criminal offences which have been committed, and whilst our investigation is still in its early stages, we do not believe there to be a risk to the wider public.

“This group clearly has a deep fascination with ideas that we know are unsettling for communities across Greater Manchester. We must take action when concerns are raised, and where weapons are suspected, to ensure people are free to live without fear of intimidation or harm.

“Public safety is at the forefront of our investigation, and as always, we ask that you remain vigilant, and if you have any information or concerns, then to contact us.”

“We are focused on uniting our local communities, not dividing them.”

That clearly means that ‘unacceptable political opinions’ will not be tolerated and GMP will eradicate them. Freedom of speech and political expression no longer exists in the UK.

The psychological impact of the raids on those arrested and their family members caught up in the raids is significant. The pure ‘Stasi’ tactics of searching and seizing of property with those arrested being paraded out to police vehicles in front of journalists and media photographers.

Older readers of this article will remember the ‘old days’ when an investigation into a political activity would result in a knock on the door by a couple of plainclothes CID detectives, and intrusive searches would only follow if there was an arrest. Not anymore.

These days the police tactics are based on making a maximum psychological impact. Police training puts a great deal of emphasis on a strategy of ‘Dominate and take control’.

Also, ‘Shock and Awe’ – demonstrated by the timing of the raids at 5 am when the occupants of the properties were asleep in bed. Smashing down front doors to make forced entries rather than knocking on doors was obviously designed to intimidate and overwhelm. Straight out of the tactics of the old East German ‘Stasi’ political police.

Added to the aggressive search and seizure of property (whether it was relevant to the investigation or not), there was reportedly damage to personal items and household fixtures. All mobile phones and electronic devices and computers were seized, including children’s devices. Why were journalists taken along on the raids?

The reality was that reports of the raids with the exaggerated headlines featured above began to appear while some of those arrested were still in police custody. What happened to the old adage “innocent until proven guilty”?

There is no doubt that these raids were politically motivated, egged on by left-wing activists and politicians with the direct influence of professional anti-fascist organisations.

All this is in keeping with ‘Two-tier Keir’ Starmer’s obsession with cracking down on the hated ‘far-right’ and no doubt in direct response to the levels of activity by British Movement North-West activists across Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Lancashire.

He harassing an elderly parent of one of our people. Scheerhout wanted to ask about a cake that she had nothing to do with. However, she was made of that old-school British fighting spirit and dealt with this fool as he deserved.
