The Gorton And Denton By-Election

A lesson for those British Nationalists who think that the electoral system is the way forward.

It is NOT a fair game, a level playing field or even remotely equal chances at the ballot box. The recent Gorton and Denton by-election in Greater Manchester on February 26th 2026, has, of course, seen the humiliation of Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour Party. It has also clearly demonstrated the rigged nature of modern British electoral politics and the emerging sectarian patterns in the multicultural, multi-racial constituencies. Hardly conditions to inspire racial Nationalist organisations to stand candidates.

The future of election politics in large, urban, multi-racial constituencies was laid bare in the Gorton and Denton by-election. The urban centres of the United Kingdom are fragmenting politically and becoming ever more sectarian, being racially, culturally and religiously divided.

From the 1980’s onwards, the political Left has devised strategies and tactics to thwart any attempts by British racial Nationalist party candidates from gaining any level of political presence in the British establishment. The British National Party (BNP) made some gains during the 1990’s at both local council levels and in the European Parliament, but the Left took that as a step no further and have upped their game to ensure that the BNP’s limited successes are never repeated.

The influence of Cultural Marxists within local council services, the civil service and national government organisations are now ideologically committed to denying any ‘racist’ political activists a platform, much less a clear, unobstructed run at elections.

A number of non-government anti-racism organisations and charities have developed campaigns and strategies to deny and obstruct effective election campaigns by openly British Nationalist candidates. This approach has, of course, been expanded to opposing parties like Reform UK, Advance UK and the candidates supported by Rupert Lowe’s Restore Britain.

The fracturing of the British electoral system was clearly demonstrated during the General Election of 2024, when the emergence of ‘Gaza’ candidates, Green Party and so-called ‘Independents’ from the Asian communities challenged the Labour Party candidates and won both council seats and some seats in the House of Commons. This pattern was clearly seen in the Gorton and Denton by-election.

Plus, the influence of so-called ‘family voting’ where Asian Muslim men accompany their wives and daughters into the voting booths to direct how they should vote. The Labour Party has ignored this practice for years because usually the Asian voters would have been instructed by their ‘community leaders at their mosques to vote for a Labour candidate, but the situation is changing.

The Green Party gained council seats on the back of this shift in allegiance in 2024, most notably in the Harehills district of Leeds, when Mothin Ali celebrated his winning of the council seat by publicly yelling “Alahu Akbar!” (which was reported on the British Movement Northern region website at the time). Mothin Ali is now the deputy leader of the Green Party and was videoed wildly celebrating the Green Party victory in Gorton and Denton.

The Green Party demonstrated their commitment to ‘diversity’ and multiculturalism in the by-election by circulating election videos entirely in Urdu and Bengali, aimed solely at the large Pakistani and Bengali immigrant population of the constituency. It was noticed by a number of observers that when the Green Party victory was declared, groups of Asians were celebrating at roadside locations in Gorton and Denton, holding up Green Party placards alongside the flags of Palestine and Pakistan, hardly representative of the Greater Manchester electorate. Or is it?

The Communist League candidate’s election campaign included literature supporting ‘Gaza’ and calls to defend Cuba and its revolution, hardly burning issues on the doorsteps of Gorton and Denton! But not to worry, because the Communist League candidate garnered exactly 29 votes, much less than the votes cast for the Monster Raving Loony candidate.

Throughout the run-up to the Gorton and Denton by-election, the assorted forces of the political Left, together with their many allies in the mainstream media and various non-government organisations and supposed civil society charities, made their open opposition to Reform UK and anything rightward to that political entity. The various organisations of the Left, together with their allies amongst the so-called liberals and progressives, have made it clear that they will not tolerate any electoral success by Reform UK and would work collectively to thwart any Reform UK majority government. Even if Reform UK was elected by a landslide, the leftists in the civil service have vowed to block its policies and legislation.

British Movement Northern region recently ran an article on the fragmentation of the Labour Party-dominated council in Hartlepool, yet another indicator of the collapsing political mainstream in Britain.

The old, outdated political parties and community organisations are dividing, fracturing and falling into terminal decline; it is time for a new beginning, time for a new order in British politics. Time to build a British National Socialist alternative.
