No Farmers = No Food

No Farmers = No Food

A short post from our North West comrades

190 dairy farms have closed down in the last 12 months, whilst the “Big Four” milk processors Arla, Müller, Meadow Foods and First Milk raked in a staggering combined pre-tax profit of £106m in 2024.

Just as the local village shop was wiped out by the likes of Morrisons, Tesco and ASDA, aided recently by foreign supermarket giants like Lidl and Aldi, British family-owned and operated farms, some going back many generations, are now facing the same dire fate.

This threatens not only jobs and livelihoods but the very fabric of British society. Every time a farm closes, our food security is weakened. We need to protect our local farmers and support British agriculture.
