Liverpool Anarchist Wanted To Kill 50 People

anarchist terrorist Jacob Graham

This is 20-year-old Jacob Graham from Forrest Green, Liverpool. He was a student studying computer science at Hugh Baird College in Bootle. He lived with his mother and sister and spent much of his time in his bedroom. He also used the name “Destro the Destroyer” online. The baby-faced loner described himself as being left-wing and an anarchist. Hide his face behind a mask and he could be your typical Antifa activist.

Graham blamed the government for his “unsatisfactory” life and his failure with girls. On a wall in his bedroom, he had printed out a picture of a car bomb exploding with the words: “Make politicians afraid to start their cars again.” He came to the attention of the security services after he began to purchase chemicals online that could be used in bomb making.

Anti-terrorist officers raided his home, and discovered he had filmed bomb-making experiments in his back garden and buried supplies in a secret woodland hide in Formby, Merseyside. A warrant was executed in May 2023 at his address in Norris Green and Graham was subsequently arrested under section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000 by officers from Merseyside Police and CTPNW (Counter Terrorism Policing North West).

Graham told police after his arrest that he was “left-wing” but “more like an anarchist”, adding: “I don’t like the idea of central control, and I don’t really like the monarchy.” He added that he supported the Green Party and was an “environmentalist” who did not like the way “corporations act and how they damage the earth”.

He was found guilty by a jury on 23 February of one count of the preparation of terrorist acts, four counts of possession of information for terrorist purposes, and two of dissemination of a terrorist publication between May 2022 and May 2023. He was sentenced to 13 years in prison and ordered to serve five years on license upon his release.

In one document, called “My Plan,” Graham wrote that he wanted to kill at least 50 people by attacking government buildings and politicians’ houses. The case received only minimal coverage in the media, and to the best of our knowledge, was ignored by the BBC.

On Thursday 14 March 2024, Michael Gove, the grandly named Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, gave a speech in Parliament outlining the government’s strategy ‘to counter extremism and to build greater national resilience and social cohesion’. He went on to describe the UK as a success story: “a multi-national, multi-ethnic and multi-faith democracy, stronger because of our diversity.”

“Organisations such as the British National Socialist Movement and Patriotic Alternative, which I mentioned, are ones that I hope no Member of this House would want to deal with.”

Michael Gove MP

Gove, a fanatical supporter of Israel and Zionism, named five organisations (two racial Nationalist organisations, including the BM, and three Islamic groups) on his list of ‘extremist’ organisations. Gove then stated that any extreme group would be barred from receiving funding or other support from the government. As Mr. Gove well knows, no Nationalist organisation in this country has ever received funding from any government body, and we certainly have not received support, quite the opposite in fact.

Tellingly, the Right Honourable Michael Gove MP didn’t regard organisations like the Socialist Workers Party, AntiFa and its many offshoots, Just Stop Oil, Extinction Rebellion, the Communist Party, the Revolutionary Communist Party etc etc, as ‘extreme’ enough to appear on his list. Neither did he mention any of the environmental groups causing havoc up-and-down the country, saying “To be clear, our definition will not affect gender-critical campaigners, those with conservative religious beliefs, trans activists, environmental protest groups, or those exercising their proper right to free speech.”

“It is obviously true that this is part of the culture war wallpaper that is being created for the general election soon to come. It is not good enough to say that it does not seek to ban or jail anyone – try getting a bank account once you have been branded by Michael Gove as an extremist.”
