Former Ukip leader Nigel Farage has been hired by a Dutch carbon offsetting firm as an adviser and company spokesman.

Former Ukip leader and merchant banker Nigel Farage has been drafted in by a Dutch carbon offsetting firm as an adviser and company spokesman it has been revealed in the Daily Mail newspaper.

Farage will join the advisory board of Dutch Green Business Group, which invests in reforestation projects to reduce carbon emissions and generates returns for its shareholders by selling carbon offsets. The company said: ‘Nigel’s role is to facilitate introductions to politicians and business leaders in the UK and around the world.’

His role will be to help in bringing DGB’s focus on promoting nature conservation, utilising innovative carbon offsetting schemes, to the attention of the public, investors, governments and other stakeholders. This role will be his first commericial undertaking since leaving politics.

Quoting Farage, he was reported to have said: ‘I am very excited to be joining DGB who are on a mission to save our forests, plant millions of trees and harness the burgeoning carbon offset market which is rapidly transforming the financial dynamics of the green arena.

‘I know I can make a real difference to the speed and progress of this ambitious business which is delivering unique, free market, nature-based solutions.’

His new role, for which we believe he will be handsomely rewarded, has raised a few eyebrows as he was known to be sceptical about climate change in the past.

Just Think Of The Money….

Farage, started his career in the City as a commodities trader at the London Metal Exchange and was elected as a Euro MP for South East England in 1999.

In 2013 he said: “We may have made one of the … most stupid mistakes in history by getting so worried about global warming.”

Two years later UKIP vowed to repeal the Climate Change Act and Farage admitted he didn’t have a clue about climate change.

Farage said in 2014 that “most legal forms of tax avoidance are ok, but clearly some are not” after he was questioned on why £45,000 of his income was paid into his private company rather than a personal bank account, and that criticism of his actions was “ridiculous”

Whilst leader of Ukip it was revealed that former British National Party members had been banned from joining his party. Showing his true colours, Farage said on a number of occasions that he regarded his greatest achievement in politics was ‘stopping the BNP gaining more seat in the European parliament’. Not helping to get us out of the EU or winning 100’s of council seats, but stopping a political party fighting to leave the EU legally winning seats in a national election.

“I do not think anyone’s done more… to damage the BNP than Ukip, and I am quite proud of that.”

And Finally….

Will all the gullible idiots who signed up for or donated to his Reform Party be demanding their money back?
